Our desire is to encourage and direct the creative abilities of students.  We long to celebrate the great gift of music that God has given to each of us and to expand the child’s capacity for insight, invention, deep understanding and appreciation.

Elementary Music Program:

The Preschool and Kindergarten will explore rhythm, basic note recognition and matching of pitch.  The first through fifth grades will embark on an adventure of theory, composition and musical cultural diversity.  Also, the fourth grade will be introduced to basic instrumentation through the use of recorders and the fifth grade will have the option of beginning band.

Middle School and High School Choral Program:

The middle school will concentrate on choral production while strengthening their skills in sight-reading, ear training and stage presence.  This age will also be introduced to various composers and their music, as well as participating in the ACSI Jr. High Musicale in the spring.

The high school will focus on vocal production, performance and evangelism.  The high school group will participate in the Basin Music Festival in the fall.  They will compete with area schools and present two concerts through the course of the year.  An honor choir will be chosen from the high school group.  This ensemble will represent the school at community clubs, functions and churches throughout the Basin.
