What is scrip? How can I help support this Hosanna fundraiser?

Great Lakes Scrip Center defines scrip as “no-selling fundraising.”  Scrip is fundraising while you shop. Great Lakes Scrip Center is a non-profit organization that allows Hosanna, as a member, to purchase scrip for everyday expenses like food, clothing, and entertainment; while earning a percentage of each dollar of scrip purchased back in revenue.

When you, as a Hosanna family, purchase scrip, you’re purchasing negotiable gift certificates that are used just like cash. These merchants want to support non-profit organizations, and in return ask you to support them by shopping with scrip at their stores.

Scrip is a dollar for dollar exchange. For example: you can purchase a Safeway card for $25 and Safeway will kick back a percentage to the school. It is a really great way to support the school as you continue to shop at your favorite stores.

Scrip orders are placed twice a month. Please see Mrs. Swan in the front office for more information or for order forms. Thank You!
