The mission of The Pride is to promote school and community spirit through quality dance performance.  The members of the HCS Dance Team will strive to be outstanding representatives of their school and community by displaying a positive team attitude, exceptional ethical/moral character, good sportsmanship, and enthusiastic spirit. God can operate through the dance team to produce desired character qualities of leadership, loyalty, love, etc.  Each dance team member will learn what it means to make a commitment to the Lord, her school and her team.

Responsibilities:
Attend all regularly scheduled practices in full.
Provide half-time entertainment at home basketball games.  (including regular season home boys/girls games, boys/girls play-off games, district, and state games)
Participate in pep assemblies and be available if the team is needed for other
chool/or athletic events. (i.e. performance at the Auction, elementary chapel, etc.).
Participate at designated dance competitions throughout the year.        

Varsity Letter:
Consistent at practice
If competing, must be present at competition.
Attendance at performances  (80% of all performances/activities)
Lettering is left to the discretion of coach

Eligibility:
Must meet the standards as set by the school in the student handbook and OSAA
